How can we get there

Hello, I'm Artem. I'm the leader of our team and I'm

responsible for the  route. Last  year I visited Lake Baskunchak and now I want to share my impressions with you.

The distance from Saratov to the lake is about 600 km

Travel time: 6-7 hours.

It's very convenient if you travel by  car. There  are places for rest and good overview.

Only 7 hours by train from Saratov, and you are already in town Upper Baskunchak. But here you should take a taxi to get to the place.

This is not convenient and it costs a little more than you expected.

The plane is considered the fastest kind of transport, but not in our case.

Due to there is no direct destination, it is necessary to make a transfer or take advantage of taxi services again.

The longest way to rich the lake it's go by bike. Besides it will require special skills and good physical shape.

Travel time is about 4 days.

You can enjoy our virtual tour to get acquainted with this amazing place and be sure that it's absolutely free and safe.

Russia is famous for its rivers and lakes, which are harder to find in the whole world.

Some water bodies attract their beauty and charm, others their rare properties.

But Lake Baskunchak is interesting for travelers, tourists and adventurers both.

Lake Baskunchak is a part of the unique natural complex, which also includes Mountain Big Bogdo.
In 1997 the Bogdino-Baskunchak Nature complex was declared as Bogdino-Baskunchak Reserve on an area of 53.7 thousand hectares.

Since that time there are special conservation regimes that do not allow numerous guests to harm the environment or spoil the rare natural attractions.
